Open Enrollment (House Bill 3681)
Oregon school districts have the option to participate in the non-district resident student open enrollment process in accordance with House Bill 3681. The annual timeline for HB3681 open enrollment is:
- March 1 – School districts announce number of students it will accept for the next school year if participating.
- April 1 – Deadline for students to seek consent from districts accepting HB3681 transfers.
- May 1 – Deadline for receiving district to provide written notice of consent of transfer to district of residence.
For the 2016-2017 school year, the St. Helens School District School Board approved acceptance of students for grades K-12 with the exclusion of 6th grade at McBride Elementary. CCEC and CRYC continue to accept students by direct application only. Open Enrollment applications must be submitted to the District Office during the month of March.
Open Enrollment closes on April 1 and applications will no longer be accepted.
