The SHSD will be providing a summer credit recovery session during the summer of 2023, held at Plymouth High School. Current high school students who have not passed a class during the 2022-23 school year have the opportunity to make up certain courses through the credit recovery program.
Volunteers can really make a big difference in the educational experience for our students. From helping out in the classroom, supervising a field trip, to reading with students, volunteers are welcome and appreciated at all of our schools. And whether you’re interested in a one-time, one-hour project or an ongoing opportunity, we can find something for you!

In March of 2022, the St. Helens School District broke ground on the voter-approved project to update, repair, improve security, and modernize St. Helens High School. We are proud to share that demolition is complete, and that construction has begun on new academic classrooms and wing, commons, CTE, hands-on learning spaces, and auditorium. The St. Helens School District Matching Grant Bond proposal can be found on the ballot as Measure 5-295.

As part of the Oregon Department of Education's continued effort to align and integrate separately-created state and federal educational investments focused on educational innovation and improvement. One of the aims of this effort is to significantly decrease administrative burden while putting forth a single application and combining processes for planning, needs assessment, community engagement, budgeting, and evaluation.
