  • NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

     A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the St. Helens School District #502, Columbia County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020, will be held in the District Office boardroom at 474 N. 16th Street, St. Helens, Oregon.  The meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at 6:30 p.m.  The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.

     A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after May 2nd at 474 N. 16th Street, St. Helens, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM and on the District’s website (www.sthelens.k12.or.us). A nominal fee of $3.00 will be charged for physical copies of the budget document to offset printing costs.

  • NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE VACANCIES 

    The St. Helens School District No. 502 is seeking applicants for three (3) vacancies on the District Budget Committee. Position one is a three (3) year term with an expiration date of June 30th, 2019 (one year remaining). Positions four and five are three (3) year terms with an expiration date of June 30th, 2021. Each term requires the attendance of several evening meetings during the course of the year. Applications are available for pick up at St. Helens School District Office, 474 North 16th Street, St. Helens, Oregon or online at www.sthelens.k12.or.us and will be accepted until the close of business on Friday, March 9, 2018.

    The St. Helens School District’s Budget Committee consists of five members appointed by the school board plus the five elected school board members. Terms for a budget committee position are three years. To be eligible for appointment the appointive member must reside in the district, be registered to vote in the district; and not be an officer, agent or employee of the district.
