  • District and SHEA Bargaining Meeting:

    The next bargaining meeting will take place at the District Office (474 N. 16th St.), and begin at 4:00 p.m.:

    District and SHEA Bargaining Update 6/5/2018:

     Tuesday night, June 5, the St. Helens School District met with the St. Helens Education Association bargaining team.  SHEA presented their counter proposal and no tentative agreements were reached.  The bargaining teams chose to table discussion over the summer, and to resume at the next meeting on September 25th.

     

     


     

    District and SHEA Barganing Update 5/8/2018:

     Tuesday night, May 8, the St. Helens School District team met with the St. Helens Education Association bargaining team.  The District presented their counter proposal and no tentative agreements were reached.  The bargaining teams are scheduled to meet again on May 22, 2018 at 4:15 pm at the St. Helens School District Office.

     


    District and SHEA Barganing Update 4/24/2018:

     Last night, April 24, 2018, the St. Helens School District team met with the St. Helens Education Association bargaining team.  The St. Helens Education Association presented their counter proposal and no tentative agreements were made.  The bargaining teams are scheduled to meet again on May 8, 2018 at 4:15 pm at the St. Helens District office.

     


    District and SHEA Barganing Update 4/10/2018:

     

    St. Helens School District bargaining team met with the St. Helens Education Association team last night.  The District Business Manager, Jessica Seay, conducted a financial presentation followed by the District’s presentation of their counter proposal.  No tentative agreements were reached and the bargaining teams are scheduled to meet again on April 24, 2018 at 4:15 pm at the St. Helens District Office.

     


    District and SHEA Barganing Update 3/20/2018:

     The St. Helens School District bargaining team met with the St. Helens Education Association bargaining team Tuesday, March 20, to discuss language proposal from the Association’s Articles 1, 2, 9, 10, 13.  No tentative agreements were reached and the bargaining teams are scheduled to meet again on April 10, 2018 at 4:15 pm at the St. Helens District Office.

     


    District and SHEA Barganing Update 3/6/2018:

    The St. Helens School District bargaining team met with the St. Helens Education Association bargaining team Tuesday, March 6 to discuss their contract proposals.  The teams originally met on February 6, 2018 to exchange and discuss their initial contract proposals.

     

    On Tuesday, March 6, the teams discussed language proposals from the District’s Article 10.4 proposal and the Association’s Articles 10.5; 10.5.1; & 10.5.2 proposals.  St. Helens School District Business Manager, Jessica Seay, gave a brief presentation on the District’s proposal to change the pay date of the licensed staff’s initial payroll at the beginning of each school year as proposed in Article 15 of the collective bargaining agreement.  No tentative agreements were reached and the bargaining teams are scheduled to meet again on March 20, 2018 at 4:15 p.m. at the St. Helens District Office.

     


    District and SHEA Bargaining Update 1/17/2018:  

     

    The St. Helens Education Association and St. Helens School District negotiations teams met in open session in the St. Helens School District office board room on January 16, 2018.  The meeting began at 4:02 pm and adjourned at 5:08 pm. Following introductions of bargaining team members, the teams agreed to meet every other Tuesday at 4:15 pm beginning February 6.  Grounds rules for the negotiations process were discussed and will be revisited at the next bargaining session.

     

    The District and Associations are scheduled to meet again in the Board Room at the St. Helens School District Office on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 4:15 p.m.
