District and SHEA Bargaining update 5/6/2021

The St. Helens Education Association and St. Helens School District negotiations teams met May 6, 2021 virtually.  The meeting began at 4:03 pm and dismissed at 5:15 pm.  

Article 4 - agreement was revised to reflect a 3 year agreement

Article 15 - agreement was reached for a 3% COLA in 2021/2022, 3% COLA in 2022/2023 & 3% COLA in 2023/2024

Negotiations have been completed at this time and SHEA will vote to ratify the agreement at their next union meeting and the school board will vote to approve the agreement at their next board meeting on May 26, 2021.

The St. Helens School District and SHEA will continue bargainin on May 6, 2021 at 4:00 pm.  This will be a virtual meeting.

The St. Helen Education Association and St. Helens School District negotiations teams met February 25, 2021 virtually.  The meeting began at 4:05 pm and dismissed at 5:25 pm.  The following articles were discussed:

Article 15 -  no agreement reached at this time.

Article 20 was closed

The next meeting has not been scheduled at this time.

1/21/2021 SHEA Bargaining Begins

The St. Helens School District School Board and St. Helens Education Association will meet virtually on Thursday, January 21 at 4:00 pm to begin contract negotiations.

District and SHEA Bargaining update 9/17/2020:

The St. Helens Education Association and St. Helens School District negotiations teams met September 17, 2020 virtually.  The meeting began at 4:03 pm and adjourned at 4:48 pm.  The following open articles were discussed and tentative agreements reached:

The parties have agreed on a one (1) year contract and the contract will go before the association for ratification.

District and SHEA Bargaining to Resume 9/17/2020:

The St. Helens Education Association and St. Helens School District will resume contract negotiations with a virtual meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 4:00 pm.  

Due to current school closure, the March 30 bargaining session has been cancelled at this time.  When school is back in session, a new date will be scheduled and posted.

District and SHEA Bargaining Update 3/9/2020:

The St. Helens Education Association and St. Helens School District negotiations teams met in open session at the St. Helens School District board room on March 9, 2020.  The meeting began at 4:10 pm and adjourned at 6:12 pm.  The teams discussed Articles 5, 15, 26, 27, 30 and the extra duty salary schedule.  Tentative agreements were reach and signed on the following articles:

It was decided to cancel the March 16 meeting and set the next meeting for March 30 (4:00-6:00 pm) in the St. Helens School District board room.

The St. Helens Education Association and St. Helens School District negotiations teams met in open session at the St. Helens School District board room on March 2, 2020.  The meeting began at 3:40 pm and adjourned at 6:10 pm.  The teams discussed Articles 5, 15, 18, 26, 30 and the extra duty salary schedule.  No tentative agreements were reached.  The next two meetings will be held March 9 (4:00-6:00 pm) and March 16 (4:00-6:00) in the St. Helens School District board room.

District and SHEA Bargaining Update 2/18/2020:

The St. Helens Education Association and St. Helens School District negotiations teams met in open session at the St. Helens School District board room on February 18, 2020.  The meeting began at 8:40 am and adjourned at 3:52 pm.  Ground rules were reviewed and signed by both parties.  Articles 2, 6, 8, 11, 13.6, 15.1, 15.3, 27, 30 & 31 were discussed.  Tentative agreements were reached and signed on the following articles:

The next two meetings will be held March 2 (3:30-6:00 pm) and March 9 (4:00-6:00 pm) in the St. Helens School District board room.

The St. Helens Education Association and St. Helens School District negotiations teams met in open session at the St. Helens School District board room on January 29, 2020.  The meeting began at 2:12 pm and adjourned at 6:22 pm.  Ground rules were created and each party presented articles they want to open.  Article 28 was discussed and a tentative agreement was reached and signed.  The next two meetings will be held February 18, 2020 (8:30 am - 4:00 pm) and March 2 (3:30-6:00 pm) in the St. Helens School District Office Board Room.

1/29/2020 SHEA Bargaining Begins

The St. Helens School District School Board and St. Helens Education Association will meet on Wednesday, January 29 at 2:00 pm in the District Office Board Room to begin contract negotiations.
