Fall Kick Off

St. Helens High School Fall Kick-Off (Required for all SHHS Students)

Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm. Drop in when its the most convenient for your family.

Parents/Guardians should attend with their student. Important forms and information will be provided. Chromebook checkouts, and Bell Imaging will take photos (pre-order at Bell Imaging, CODE WORD: CHEESE). Free on-site student body card printing. Student schedules will be available in StudentVUE by August 27, 2026. Guidance counselors will be available for scheduling appointments.

Registration Information 2026

Registration for Returning and NEW Students to the School District

New Student Enrollment: August 25 - 27 (Tuesday - Thursday): Via phone conferences with counselors to build student schedules. Must register online on the high school website. Under the “Parent Info” drop-down menu, select “Registration Info”. Once complete, our Registrar will contact you.

Incoming SHMS 9th graders and Returning SHHS students: Complete Online Registration using ParentVue login. Computers will be available at Kick Off, but it is recommended to register and make purchases (such as the Yearbook) on the TouchBase Payment Portal before August 26, so you do not have to stand in lines at the event.

Early College High School

General Information

The goal of Early College High School.

St. Helens is to offer every student, especially those who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education, the chance to attain a high school diploma, achieve college credits, and cultivate a clear vision along with a tailored plan to shape the life they aspire to lead.

Students can immerse themselves full-time in a college experience at either PCC Rock Creek or Sylvania campuses, with staff and offices available at both locations.
This program offers a comprehensive two-year engagement spanning approximately six terms.
Typically, students apply during the spring of their 10th grade or the fall of their 11th grade.
They complete all high school credit requirements at PCC while simultaneously earning college credits for all their courses.
On average, graduates accumulate around 75-80 transferable college credits upon completion.
The program operates on a full-time basis, involving 12-16 credits per term, equivalent to a standard college load.
Upon graduation, approximately 40% of students achieve an Associate of Arts (AA) degree, further solidifying their higher education foundation.

What type of student would most benefit from ECHS?

This program welcomes students who are the first in their family to attend college, providing them with a unique opportunity.
It is particularly well-suited for those whose local high school was not an ideal fit due to various reasons.
This initiative is tailored for students who are eager to explore diverse pathways and challenge themselves as they pursue their desired career trajectories.
Additionally, it offers an alternative and supportive environment for discouraged learners who seek an alternative to their neighborhood high school.

What makes ECHS unique?

Students have the opportunity for dual enrollment, being enrolled simultaneously in both ECHS and their local high school.
Students can engage in local high school activities such as graduation, extracurriculars, OSAA sports, dances, and more.
At ECHS-SH, tuition costs for 12-16 credits per term are covered by the program.
Families are responsible for covering expenses related to books and transportation.
For students eligible for the Free/Reduced Lunch program, ECHS-SH will cover the costs of meals and books.

Eligibility

To be eligible for enrollment, individuals must be residents of the district and meet certain criteria.
They should be at least 16 years old when classes commence, with some flexibility in certain cases.
While a minimum 2.0 GPA is generally required, there might be some room for flexibility.
Prospective students should demonstrate the ability to place into Math 60, Reading 115, and Writing 115, which represent the entry-level courses.
Additionally, a minimum of 14 high school credits should be completed after transferring grades to ensure timely graduation.

Bell Schedule

PCC class schedule will be determined in consultation with the ECHS-SH counselor at PCC.

Transportation

Transportation to/from PCC is currently the responsibility of the family/student.
