Riverhawk Lit Launch: Find Your Voice
We’re excited to invite 6th–8th grade students to Riverhawk Lit Launch: Find Your Voice, a dynamic summer literacy program designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and strengthen reading and writing skills, all while having fun!
Riverhawk Lit Launch is a four-week summer experience focused on helping students discover their unique voice through engaging lessons, creative writing, and enrichment activities. Students will explore reading and writing across genres while participating in hands-on, project-based learning in the arts, technology, and STEM.
An in-depth look at the program:
Goals:
Strengthen reading and writing across genres
Build communication and self-expression skills
Engage in arts, technology, and STEM-based activities
Foster friendships and support social-emotional growth
Themes:
Week 1: Speak Up! – Identity, personal narrative, poetry
Week 2: Voices of Change – Activism, persuasive writing
Week 3: Tech Talk – Digital literacy, podcasting, blogging
Week 4: Write the Future – Fiction writing, worldbuilding
When:
July 7 – July 31 (Monday–Thursday)

Please have your student come prepared by bringing a notebook or journal, writing utensils, and a water bottle.
Join us at the end of the program for a special Student Showcase, where families are invited to celebrate student work through performances, presentations, and published projects.
