Name: Mrs. Marcy Schaffer
Hi! My name is Marcy Schaffer. I have worked in the St. Helen's school district since 1993. I began as a substitute teacher and became full time shortly after that. I received my degree in teaching from Concordia College, which is now known as Concordia University. I played on the Cavalier volleyball team for 3 years. I was a volleyball coach here in St. Helen's for four years, before deciding to extend my family. My family consists of my husband, Rick, who volunteers often, Jenna is in college, Robby is in 7th grade at the new middle school and Ellie is in 4th grade at Lewis and Clark. I grew up in the small town of Myrtle Point, which is in Southwestern Oregon, where I lived on a very large cattle/logging ranch with my parents and 3 siblings. I love to read, ride wave runners in the summer and ride snowmobiles in the winter. I love to travel to the Caribbean and Hawaii, some say that I love to chase the sun. I am very blessed to having a loving and supportive family. I am also blessed to have a wonderful job that touches the lives of young children who will be our future.
