Welcome to Title I!
I am very excited to teach at Lewis and Clark this year!
I have had the pleasure of teaching in the St. Helens School district since 2006.
I have taught third grade for seven years and fourth grade for one year. Since then, I have
spent my time teaching Reading and Math Intervention.
I thrive on my passion for teaching and learning with my students and enjoy the
adventures we encounter in the classroom.
I received my Degree in Elementary Education with my Endorsement in Reading from the
University of Portland. I was a Fighting Fisherman (Astoria High) during my high school
years. I received my Master's Degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix.

Mission For The Class
Together we can make all the difference!
Students in my room can expect...
In Mrs. Fastabend's room, I will be treated as an individual person. I have
worth, dignity and the ability to learn and grow in a safe and nurturing
environment. I have the right to privacy and free exploration. I will be
encouraged daily and shown that my learning is my responsibility. I have
the power of voice and will not be afraid to use my voice. The rules and
procedures in this room are to aide me in my ability to learn and feel
safe. Together we can all grow, explore, learn and have FUN!
