Welcome to the Primary Intervention Classroom,

   This is my 24th year teaching special education for the St. Helens School District.  I have been the teacher in the Primary Learning Center Classroom for the last 4 years and was The District Behavior Specialist for the 12 years previous.  I graduated from Gonzaga University with a Major in Education with empasis on behavior.  I continued on to Lewis and Clark College to persue my Master's Degree in Education. I am licensed as a highly qualified teacher in both special education and general education.

 

  I provide specially designed instruction to students K-3 in one of St. Helens School District's specialized special education classrooms, or better know as the Primary Learning Center classroom.

 

  I have 3 biological children who have successfully graduated to becoming young adults.  I also share my heart and home with other kiddos who need some structure and love in their lives.  Right now I have 3 foster children, all brothers.  The oldest gets to come to McBride everyday to be in First Grade. Our home is also occupied by three cats who choose us as their families.  I love to read, garden and go camping.
