                A little about me...
I am a graduate of George Fox University, where I earned a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. I have been a teacher since 2005, the first 10 years at Columbia County Christian School in Warren, Oregon and the past four at Lewis and Clark Elementary.   My husband and I currently live in Scappoose; we have three sons, Drake, Wyatt, and Tucker, whose ages range from 20-25.  All of them attended Lewis and Clark Elementary in their younger years.  In my free time I like to camp, travel, read, and shop for vintage decor in antique shops.  Most of all, I like spending time with the people I love.
            My mission for the class...
I hope that my students come to school knowing:
    • I believe in them.
    • They are special.
    • They are important.
    • They are listened to.
    • They will succeed!
Every class day is a fresh start for my students and a gift to me!  I feel it is important to remind them of this when inviting them into my classroom for the day.  In addition, I always try to conclude the school day on a positive note; each student has the choice of a hug, handshake, high-five, or knuckle when saying good-bye.  Overall my desire is that their experience in Kindergarten is fun, engaging, and a place where they can acquire a love for learning!
    Thanks for stopping by,
