I am excited to be teaching 8th grade math and Algebra at St. Helens Middle School this year!
I am entering my 19th year as a teacher. I have experience with teaching or coaching a wide variety of age levels - from 3rd graders all the way to high school seniors. I love math and hope to extend that joy to my students.

Some policies to be aware of:
Grading and Homework System
Each homework assignment will be worth 5 points. Tests and quizzes will vary from 25 points to 100 points. Notes are worth at least 50 points each quarter. DO NOT THROW OUT YOUR NOTES!!!!
Homework must be nealty completed in pencil and be on time. All work must be shown for credit. All homework is due the following class day. All late work is due the day of the unit test. For excused absences, the students will have one day to complete the assignment for each day they missed for full credit. Students are responsible for getting all notes and assignments when absent.
Daily warm-up activities are expected to be completed in class and cannot be made up. Students who are absent do not need to complete these.
Students may attempt one retake on an assessment they did poorly on. To do this they must have all homework for the unit completed and they also might need to complete some extra review assignments.
