The St. Helens School District is dedicated to maintaining a strong partnership with parents in our effort to provide the very best education for our students. The key to that partnership is open communication. The following email is an effort to inform parents that at approximately 1:05 pm, per local law enforcement request, McBride Elementary has been placed in a ‘secure’ as a preventative safety measure for law enforcement activity in the area. At approximately 1:15 pm, the ‘secure’ was lifted.

When a school is placed in a ‘Secure,’ all students and staff are to stay inside the building with the exterior doors locked, and those students outside are directed to come inside the building. School goes on as usual, with students staying inside the building until the ‘Secure’ is lifted. 

All students and staff are safe and are going about their regular schedules. For the safety of our students and staff, our district, along with local emergency response personnel, follow the I Love U Guys Safety Protocols.
